A credit is one cent of AI work: how much the model had to read and write, not how many products it touched. Free includes 100 AI credits per month; paid plans add larger AI credit allowances, larger bulk jobs, and longer history. All plans install from the Shopify App Store and bill through Shopify.

What is an AI credit?
One cent of AI work. A credit is charged for what the model reads and writes, not per product: a short question is a few credits, a full-catalog audit is a few dozen, and a rule such as a price change costs the same for 40 products or 4,000. Generated text — titles, descriptions, SEO fields, alt text — costs more, and the estimate is shown before the model runs.
Is the free plan limited?
Yes. Free is for testing: low operation volume, small bulk jobs, and basic history. Paid plans unlock larger jobs, larger credit allowances, and longer history.
How is ApiMate billed?
Plans are billed through Shopify's billing API on the store you connect. You can switch between monthly and yearly billing on each plan.
Need more than the Ultimate plan?
That is the Agency plan, from $299/mo: several client stores under one agreement, with credits scoped to your volume instead of a fixed tier. It is quoted rather than listed because the number depends on how many stores and how large the catalogs are. Write to us with both and you get a number back.
